Preparing the Church for Jesus' Return
The Lord Jesus is coming to rapture a Church that is to live as one Body, led by the Head, the Lord Jesus Christ, through the Holy Spirit.
This Church will be living in sanctification and obedience to the Lord and will be faithful to the command to preach the gospel.
With this objective in view the Lord has been spiritually uniting His people all over the world. Congregations, pastors, denominations, associations and unions of Churches from different countries and different continents are coming closer to one another based on the common faith in the Bible and all its teachings as well as the common desire to be led by the Lord through the Holy Spirit.
This is not a movement based on particular teachings or stimulated by great leaders. It is an operation of the Holy Spirit who has been teaching Gods people on how to proceed towards this blessed goal: the Unity of the Church.
So far Churches who share a common belief in the baptism in the Holy Spirit and the 9 spiritual gifts (I Cor. 12:8-10) and in the fivefold ministry (Ephesians 4.11) have been attracted to this Unity.
Churches and pastors from diverse countries such as Belarus, Brazil, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and the United States, among many others, have established contacts among themselves and started to work together with this common objective in view: the Unity of the Body of Christ.
These pastors and leaders understand that spiritual unity should be sought just among Christians who accept solely the teachings of the Bible as God's Word and who refuse to accept doctrinal innovations that have come about in the last 50 years in Pentecostal or Charismatic groups. They understand, furthermore, that every church, regardless of the culture of its members, needs to seek direction from the Lord through the nine spiritual gifts listed in I Corinthians 12:8-10 and under the supervision of the five ministries described in Ephesians 4:11 (since the Government of the church is up to them). This happens because the teachings of God's Word and the operation of the Holy Spirit are above cultures and are valid in any geographical location or historical era.
These servants also share the understanding that the Church needs to put into practice the biblical teachings summarized in the 7 thesis listed in the article below. These teachings were understood by the faithful church in different periods in history in times of revival, particularly in the beginning of the Pentecostal movement. However, as the revival was waning and as the churches became institutionalized and self-sufficient, their leaders started to neglect the practice of these teachings, especially the reliance on the revelations of the Holy Spirit to direct them.
Finally, these pastors and leaders have decided to announce, also through this site, these teachings and experiences of churches in several countries that have successfully practiced these doctrines. They hope that, as other servants find out about the Work that the Holy Spirit is doing in our days, they will be encouraged to live these doctrines, sure that the result will be the spiritual awakening of their churches.
